Challenge Accepted! I've seem most of the Barbie movies and media content. They are fine for what they are as entertainment for kids and to sell product. I'm not sitting through these movies about a toy doll thinking they are the next Shawshank Redemption.

@4yfv+1mZ2hMtv I challenge you to watch any of the Barbie movie trailers and laugh or crack a smile even once.

What's your point? If the movie is 1:45, then yes, one could imagine sitting through that length of time to watch the entire movie. There might even be an after credits scene.

Imagine sitting through an hour and forty minutes of the Barbie movie? 😬

For reference, none of Hasbro's movies really 'saved' the company either. Many did well at the box office, but it didn't necessarily translate to higher toy sales, especially compared to the toy's original run. Transformers and GI Joe did way better in the 80's than they did with the movies in the 2000's.

Looks from the preview Barbie goes from her world to the real world. How original, I never would have thought of that. Wow that will sell tons of product to 5 -10 year old girls, for a PG-13 movie. Great job everyone, bonuses all round!

Any bets on how fast some executive tied to the entertainment side of Mattel bails when the IP driven movies don’t do SH:T to generate top line growth or bottom line profit?
