Toxic relationship

It's like being in a toxic relationship, waiting the past 4 months to know if I'm still desired and valued enough by this company to stay. Just know if you're feeling this too that this situation is absolutely NOT normal, but how you're feeling is. Create value for the patients that you serve, not the shareholders!

It's designed in a way to basically guarantee people miss. So many extraneous factors totally out of your hands. And the yearly goal setting cycle is all for show. No one actually refers back to them and here's the kicker...you can change them anytime you want. So just update them a week before your manager conversation and get that exceed/exceed...

Too bad that rating doesn't mean jack sh-t because the company will undoubtedly miss every other metric, so you get a 57% MIP payout...it at all.

It’s impossible to get 100% of the MIP based on how they changed the calculations. 50% of your MIP is tied to OU performance and 50% on mdt overall performance (EPS, market share, and revenue). One really can’t control the MDT corporate ones as the stock market dictates this. Mgt has dropped the ball on forecasting revenue . Don’t know why they are so bad at this. Too many yes men over promising. Also the what/how goals for performance is just silly. You can get an exceed on your what and miss on your how because some one didn’t like on a meeting you didn’t agree with them and they didn’t feel you heard them.

MIP was 107% and 105% for a few years about 12 or 13 years ago. The good old days when everybody loved working for Medtronic.

Yes it can be hard with the uncertainty and not knowing what's going to happen. No point overthinking it. Keep your emergency cash fund ready and start looking outside. We knew it was coming. There is no way MDT could have escaped this situation. Just be prepared as much as you can. Let's understand that our life is not guaranteed so let's not build fancy expectations on employment.

It absolutely is an abusive relationship and it’s why my emotions at home have been on edge! :( I’m hoping the anxiety and heavy feeling on my chest is gone by the end of this week….

Has anyone here ever got a 100% MIP payout? I have never got a 100% MIP in the last 4 years I have been here. Things have gone down significantly downhill since Geoff took over
