Yep….when prices are low, we low ball the CIP and bonuses and salary raises and talk all about how prices are low, earnings are low, cash flow is low, and how tough times are……when prices are high, cash flows are at records, earnings are at records, etc. , we find an explanation on why not to share INCREDIBLE pay outcomes with employees……but look at the top deck’s pay out…..wow……

Nice to know we have to absorb the costs of MW and MN’s gutting of our culture and the chevron way. The architects of our poor performance get a 10% bump and a vice chairman title while we lose 20% on our CIP. Super motivating.

Lots of fatalities in one year can be a great thing, because next year and the subsequent years can only result in an improved safety metric. This may sound callus to you, but I’m correct. Next year, all this will be in the rear view mirror and forgotten…. I promise.

I hate to say it, but the way the current system is set up, fatalities are good for the company and investors. They saved a lot of opex docking CIP for the masses.

Is his raise in cash (i.e., right-now salary), or in stock options (i.e., future money for retirement)? The new MW-inspired Chevron mantra is "safety is only an issue if it affects the stock price".
