Anyone figured out how to get files off Schwab laptop? I have developed templates during my tenure (no client or employee information). And I would like to take it with me if I get laid off or if I leave.

These are now Schwab property and it sucks for you. For future reference, if your next templates will also have no client and no employee info, you could develop them on your personal laptop and keep it there as the master copy. If/when you need them at work, email a copy to your work email. That way, you’re not violating any policy since the email flow is in reverse. There is nothing preventing you from developing personal productivity templates on your personal device as long as they don’t have w Schwab’s proprietary information. Bulls your template library at home.
You do realize that even if you managed to copy the files off of the laptop, that copy function was recorded? I think you're going to be unemployed sans layoff package sooner than you think.
Paste into PowerPoint or Word. Call it something random. Print. Import into your own device with OCR software. Voila. Schwab dopes print so much PowerPoint that this would be lost in the noise. Hurry before Basher reads this and blocks all printing. He’s reactive that way:

I was sure there’s a way around it. Would mind you sharing how you did so?
Was able to copy what I needed. Guess I should be thankful that Basher surrounds himself with such competent engineers.
No way Schwab hired someone this d-mb.
The paperwork you signed when you joined Schwab says all code you wrote is intellectual property of Schwab. Anything you do is a risk. Most definitely do not email it to your self. they track every mail automatically to an out of network email address and scrape it...(trust me I know).
Those are property of Schwab. You won't have to worry about being laid off or voluntary leaving if you try.
Take pictures of them on your phone. Easiest way to transport stuff without getting dinged by the email na-is.
Email them to your personal email…
Print them out when in office
Those aren’t your templates friend.
Don't even think about it. All your developments are the intellectual property of the company, not yours.
