Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Looking for a way out?

I'm guessing that there are more people in this company who do their best, thinking that they will save this job which they are afraid to leave and start somewhere else (even though they don't really like it here), than there are people who are actively and with full commitment looking for better options for themselves…

Nobody would be on this site if they loved their job and trusted the company

I mean you keep complaining then answering your own questions. Maybe only 1 person on this thread really hates their job????

I guess I get confused on here when someone says I throw orders all day!! well what are you getting paid for? the days of cold selling have been done for years. You want the HQ teams to sell in the additional displays as you say it cannot be done at store level anymore with customer mandates. so what are you really doing? throw the cases it's your job

Thankfully I was already in the process of looking for a way out before I got the email. It was two years in the making - after more than 2 decades at this company. I saw the writing on the wall. Now I get to take the severance to help me on my way.

This could have been a nightmare though. They were telling us that our geography was different and we wouldn't really need to lay anyone off like what was happening in the rest of the country. Them 'BAM!'...half of us gone. That was really dirty. If I had listened to them I'd be stressing right now.

Many hours were put into getting the mod finalized before this whole thing went live. Still getting skipped deliveries left and right. Full timers, not all but some, haven’t had the proper training from the beginning when they were hired in over a year ago. Or they just don’t give a rats a** about the job because there’s no consequences. Just a talkin to. I’m sure the process works for those who have a good team and know what needs to be done. For me, I’m working with new hires basically. But who cares. Forget coaching, forget responsibilities, forget accountability. Management doesn’t want to deal with it. The positions filled so all is good

Um, believe me, NO ONE is trying to save their job here.

People are still here for a variety of reasons. Some people are content staying for now, but don't care if they get let go with severance.

Not sure why that's so hard to comprehend?

I personally love that people are staying. Why make it easy on this company to get rid of people for free, or not have to "have the conversation with them?"

This company can pay to get rid of their dedicated employees, and pull their shady sh-t somewhere else.
