Appraisal acknowledgement

When do the managers return our appraisals for employee acknowledgment?

We are now almost into May, and it’s very quiet.

Marys on her cruise at the moment so things hold until her return.

She's already sent 3 emails out this year so unfair for her to do any more work.

Also been given the title of Marketing honcho, we wonder if any of that will be done in between her holiday trips.

Poor woman just $5 million for doing all that and your expecting her to open her laptop to send a 4th email this year, that's nearly a email every month she will be breaking under the pressure.

Appraisals, who cares She's got more world trips planned on your money.

The adjustment of the ratings or whatever HR call it, was supposed to be done weeks ago but still ongoing for some unknown reason. This morning another message came out from HR saying end of year appraisals still on hold. Make of that what you will.

So it’s no longer 12 May? Sorry I don’t know where this HR page is.

And for the others wondering why I’m even bothered. Wishful thinking, aka deluded.

Back in the day when I worked at DXC, the appraisal was the most Bureaucratic process that I've ever seen. So much back n forth and numerous boxes to fill out such. Since having worked for more progressive companies that encourage regular 1-2-1 feedback and advice, the appraisal process is a lot easier and there's no paperwork of filling out boxes. Just and agreed set of goals. They disbanded pay reviews in last 2 yrs to just give cost of living raises anyway. So not had any formal reviews for a while and Its great ;-)

Of exactly what earth-shattering significance is this event of managers returning the appraisal for acknowledgement?
As someone already mentioned below, you get peanuts (or less) relardless of the outcome.
I am guessing you must be (relatively) new, to be asking such questions about the DXC appraisal process.. in which case you have my full sympaties, and a strong advise to quit immediately and join some other place where the papers on which appraisals are done do not end up as b**t wipes.
If you are not a newcomer and still asking this question, I rest my case.

Well, considering it took Executive Leadership OVER HALF A YEAR since submitting our FY22 End of Year reviews, to say they were 'postponing' (and then cancelling) merit increases, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Just look on the HR page they have all the dates. What is more interesting is the obscured change of dates, originally there was a shortened FPR window and now it's been extended for 2 weeks for no reasons given. DXC moves in mysterious ways.

Process is a waste of time , regardless of the final rating we're all getting zero extra peanuts in our bank account
