Cracks are showing and people are stressed across the operations. Folks are working 6 days a week (sometimes more) and nights while other roles with similar or higher PSGs don’t have that pressure. We keep hearing leadership is aware but have yet to see any real progress.

There’s zero stability, no business plan to drive the right OE behaviors. It’s the flavor of the week that your leadership thinks will stick …while dumping money into coaches because of the disfunction.
It could help folks in authority to gain respect by eliminating all athleisure wear from their work attire! We work for at an energy company for crying out loud!
Burnout from trying to find ways to cut costs while majority of folks still have their heads in the sand. There’s no capital folks! Lighting prayer candles and hoping some miracle will happen to change the governor’s stance to grant permits. Assets will be closed.
Burnout from meetings about how ops can’t get along with each other. Burnout from psg 26 wearing joggers and sneakers to meet with workforce monthly.
Who cares about burnout, we got new espresso machines amidst being pushed to save money. That double espresso with the chocolate shot is cash money!
Burn baby burn…SJV INFERNO. Dissatisfaction, came in a management chain reaction. The work was flaming..out of control. It was so entertaining to watch these f@@ls implode!!

It sounds like work life balance is only for the leadership? Boo hoo….fill out the survey as they “value” your input. They of course will never “change” because of it. Change is something you need to do! Unless you haven’t heard, you are “winning in any environment”. Post out or speak up for Pete’s sake and quit taking it. Oh but you’re worried about your next promotion and won’t say anything. Bottom line…you are the problem!
Working hard for SJV is like working hard on car carburetors, VHS or Betamax recorders, or maintaining your AOL email account. All antiquated, way past their prime, and stunting any future career plans you may have.

Chevron is investing nothing whatsoever in SJV. We're just maintaining the operation at minimal cost (including less-than-needed staff) until a buyer can be found, then all you hard workers will be dumped on the street. Once we got out of Indonesia heavy oil, the die was cast. Notice how NONE of the up-and-coming high-pots and management types cycle through Bakersfield anymore.
SJV? Working hard? (California? Heavy Oil?) You're on the Chevron equivalent of the Titanic, and the iceberg's already been hit. There is no long-term career value whatsoever for working hard in those circumstances. Find yourself a lifeboat and get outta there...
so funny to hear those who have no other experience, other than Chevron claim that this is hard work. You all have no idea how low the intensity is here vs other companies.

Snowflakes. We used to work 12 Hrs a day, 7 days a week and do callouts during the night whilst on location.
This is the MW plan. Work people into the ground, when they quit replace them with cheap college hires.
