Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Branch closure role mapping

Closing branches got an update on our next assignment. Some of us are transferring to another branch and some are becoming float CRC.

Sooo are the floats are temporary until end of the year? Also what will happen to Union Bank ABMs even though they're now being given an assignment will they end up getting laid off since US Bank does not have ABM?

USB laid off the ABM position 5 years ago and made them all reapply for their jobs back as CRCs. If they didn’t do that then they got a pkg. I assume they are hoping he Union ABM will look for opportunities elsewhere. It’s not sustainable to close branches but retain all Union staff.

They told the regulators and community leaders that no branch employee will be laid off

The strategy is for high achievers will find employment elsewhere and the floaters will fill in the spots when they leave. ABMs are useless in the US Bank platform logic would be to be laid off but, US Bank is so cheap and talent walks out the door so frequently they need to keep as many people as they can.

The lucky ones got packages. Sorry for your loss.
