Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Working here is a constant worry

This has become unbearable. Of course, no one's job is guaranteed, but still, there is too much uncertainty here and the atmosphere is therefore very toxic. How safe do you think your job is? My motivation has never been lower because I am aware that I cannot make any serious plans in life since layoffs are a constant threat looming over our heads.

Left 7 months ago to start my own consulting company. Final nail in my UHC career was when a Senior HR leader told me that the expectation for leadership (Grade 30) was to 'adopt and promote' their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mantra and not present a dissenting opinion. The DE&I Council continually failed to respond to the questions I presented asking about providing quantitative benefits of their DE&I program. I'd highly recommend that you take control of your career and success by leaving UHC. You'll be much happier if you leave since I am.
