Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Maybe it's too late

I really loved my job here and that's why I delayed leaving, thinking that some improvement must happen here eventually.

However, for almost four years I have watched the company go a downward spiral and the expected improvement is not happening. Maybe now it's too late to fix things?

OP has the exact same thoughts I have. I don’t see it getting better. It was so much better here 5+ years ago. They just don’t care about building and supporting good products. Their number one goal is to wring the company dry to get the highest stock price and cash out before the company collapses

So long as the T-Fam continues to earn financial returns they target for the business, products, and services won't improve. I know that sounds counter-intuitive. But I think they're more focused on the overall return and not developing products and services customers will buy. They are fine with putting in the least amount of investment possible if it generates the returns they want (and that can include whatever tax benefits they generate).
