Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Mental Health

🤷‍♂️

Tired of the stress. Can’t find anything else comparable in salary, let alone even get an interview, because anyone Intel-related is toxic for sensible companies. Most of us are too stupid and traumatized to be worth a d@mn in a competitive job market. “Help” doesn’t help. Medical needs necessitate “gainful” employment for insurance. Sure makes su----e look real appealing!!!!! Our society sucks pretty hard.

Anyone else struggling with doing this every 3 months?

When is ChatGPT taking over the world so we can get a break from this?

Talk to a real professional instead of going to the Internet and especially toxic sites like this one for advice.

Amazing what ChatGPT can already do, eh? ;-)

Sorry you are having mental health struggles. Talk to a real professional instead of going to the Internet and especially toxic sites like this one for advice.

BTW, ChatGPT and other AI tools are going to make life a lot harder for tech people. It is expected to replace a lot of programmers who probably thought their jobs were untouchable.

Ignore the naysayers OP. You’re having a normal reaction to the toxic environment of a failing company. Find a job you enjoy, don’t fall in love with the idea of a company.

Don’t worry about the money either. Like others have said, a new job might be a pay cut but a boost to mental health. That might translate to extra energy you could put into investing or boosting your resume. Keep yourself healthy and the rest will come. I’m rooting for you!

Just hang on until China invades Taiwan. Intel might have higher earnings than Saudi Aramco in the years after TSMC is wiped off the map. Bonus, any TSMC fabs in the US likely become property of Intel, for the cost of free.
