Ridiculous, when is QCOM gonna learn, why wait for 6 months wait& see to consider who to layoff, what a toxic atmosphere it would create. JUST DO IT!!
QCOM can't take quick decisions. It was very bad idea to complain to Trump that Broadcom was Chines owned, so it's a national security threat if AVGO took over? wthell..AVGO supplies chips to defense. That was a golden opportunity QCOM and it's still struggling at the same price.

And Why 1 year of Boston Consulting paying millions to figure it's not ideal to split the company?

Management didn’t lobby … they got on their hands and knees and begged Trump to stop the take over! Same thing people are doing at work right now to keep their jobs and to be removed from the layoff list

Whatever Hock Tan's org can get their hands on, gets on a chopping block, whatever can be sold for profit, is sold, some potential value pieces go on ice and the rest (typically including R&D) is thrown away.
Look at Broadcom now, it is just a sheepskin with, no, not a wolf, as those have pride, a jackal inside, to sneak in on US and EU money. Chipsets they sell right now were developed before the takeover.

Broadcom is holding company not tech company. Even broadcom is not worth 600B. If you want so much, you just leave to broadcom. QC is fine where it is

Broadcom is no technology company, they do nothing other than acquire other companies and do financial management. We are far better off this way. If it was Google or Nvdia different story
