Doing great, I don’t need the money and the stock will be fine. Keep up the terrible attitude and see how it goes

It is true that RSUs shouldn’t be seen as a guarantee. But it is also a fact that they are a component of many teammates total compensation, and a reason why some have remained.

My issue is this. Rank and file employees at Truist are dealing with the fallout from atrocious strategic decision making by executive management, both in terms of their day-to-day job, and now deflated RSUs. And yet Rogers and team walk away with a 27% salary increase - sorry, but that is wrong on so many levels.

I’m doing just fine and I didn’t over a fake tent preacher to get my money. My guess is that you’re at an age where the only option left for you is going to be Walmart greeter/receipt checker. It probably would be the first real work you did in a decade or so

Free money for those of us who don’t need it.
Good luck paying your rent OP. I hear Walmart is looking for night shift cashiers.

You get taxed on receipt as ordinary income, but those taxes are withheld by reducing the shares. After that, regular capital gains or losses apply on that cost basis

You don’t get taxed on receipt

Do you get taxed when you receive them? As income and then capital gains when u “sell” them?

Looks like extra money. No one who gets rsu’s are dependent on rsu’s. Our initial investment is $0 and in terms of time investment, it’s no more than you who don’t get them. It’s gravy baby.
