Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

4 day week

I’ve heard managers are going to a 4 day week, not sure how many hours they have to work

Since so many are quitting or stepping down they are trying to make it more attractive of a job
Did this ever go through? I left before it became a thing, and something tells me it was just a carrot that led to nothing in the end.

Years ago our overnight mgr would do 4 days. But he put in 60 to 65 hours. It can work in certain situations

Managers just hide in the office anyway. What difference what a 4 day work week make.

Not going to happen since managers can set their own schedules and the expectation of manages working at least a 50 hour week is barely met by most managers.

I never heard this, and this would NEVER happen. We have shareholders that own walmart stock in the hopes that we run as profitable as possible. Cutting salaried employees to 4 day work weeks doesn't cut cost...it drives them up. Managers in my market work 6 day work weeks here in SoCal, 10+ hour days. It ain't happening lol, was just a rumor.
