Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Doing the best job you can

The manager expects us to do our best.

However, is it realistic to expect that from workers of this company, with the way it is today?

Does anyone still have the motivation to give 150 percent here?

US labor productivity had biggest drop since 1960, fell 5.2%.

Many causes but WFH and a new generation workers who don't believe strong work ethic is a core value has a lot to do with it.

This will not be a worry for very long. Talks of splitting the company have started.

Yeah. Why do that when others will do it? It is a matter of how hungry you are. These folks try to get you into a jobless situation like they are. If you don't find the job gets you what you want, by all means jump to the greener pasture. Others will come in like they always have.

Why do that for Intel when Intel will not do it for you? You're just a number

MBOs are a Grovian principal that has become ba----dized to the point of being unrecognizable in the 50+ years since they were first instilled.

I've never done the best job that I can, let alone 150% of that.

Why did you set the bar low enough for yourself that you could do 150% of it.

Maybe that's the intel motto.

Revise it to be: Try to achieve 100% of a difficult goal. Instead of 150% of a walk in the park.
