Post from TheLayoff.com

a.) if you're good with SLT, it's entirely possible
b.) if you don't work at bofa, it's 100% possible

That medical accommodation information is inaccurate. Guy in GIS moved to a location that doesn’t have a branch and he was allowed to work full time remote for no other reason than moving.

You need to work with your doctor as they will need to vouch that you have a medical condition that requires that you work at home permanently. There are several conditions that are not physically visible but can work to fulfill this criteria. Then you file for a medical accommodation on the HR portal and fill out the information. There are several rounds of forms mostly saying the same thing. At some point they will call your doctor to verify that they are real and then you are good to go

Step 1: don’t drive to office.
Step 2: work from home if that’s what you’re most comfortable doing.

Literally everyone has been approved for accommodations. 54% of our team has accommodations and works from home. I’ll do what works for me and continue being more productive than the folks in the office Getting distracted at the water cooler.

Don’t use covid as the reason as those are seen as jumping on the bandwagon.

You need to have a doctor attest in writing that it's medically required for you to work from home. The medical accommodations team will reach out to them and ask a series of questions about your condition. If the MA consultant agrees with the request, it goes to your manager for approval. If you don't have a medical need, you won't get it approved.
