I think it's pretty messed up that we have to wait for our severance payout until May 26 but now they are delaying sending DD files to ADP. 😡

Final pay and severance are two different things.
Check your state's pay laws. In CA, for instance, your final pay must be available on your final day. There are exceptions for firing with cause (and without opportunity to prepare a final pay out, but they are very clearly defined). follett never offered us severance. I can't speak to that. As to earned wages, once you're no longer an employee, they have no implied agreement to hold your money. It's money you've earned and they owe it in real time. Check your state's department of labor (if you work in a cr-ppy state, sorry).
Got my final check and all vaca hours yesterday direct deposited as normal. Not sure about the 1st severance payment but yesterday was my 7th day on that severance being returned so I don't expect any delays.
DD file might be direct deposit?

They won't do anything for 7 days after you signed and returned your severance agreement. Are you saying it will be longer than that?
