Of the 50-60 people that I know that left, only 2 have come back. In both cases the recruiter and employer lied to them about the position they were taking. Both are still looking to leave.
The worst company ever, makes GE look good.
I managed to get out after only a year rather easily and was hired by another fortune 100 company in the same arena. I have to say, I wasn’t necessarily unhappy at HW, great people and loved the work, but the employee benefit package and starting salary PALES in comparison to what I receive now. DA says many people in the industry that he knows leave HW and come back?!? Come back to what exactly? Unless they get offered more money, the benefit package hadn’t changed in years and probably won’t improve. Only way I would is if I was desperate. HW is ABSOLUTELY dropping the ball when it comes to retention.
Good for you OP! If you are miserable in your job, you owe it to yourself to find a different one!
The stench of the Canadian Honeywell operations has turned them into revolving doors, heavily dependent on a subclass of contract serfs.
I can't even begin the describe the psychological and physical toll this job has taken on me. I've always been a hard worker and am okay with a high work volume. That's not the issue. The toxic culture and horrific management style I experienced have been way more stressful than the actual work itself. Every day, I am hopeful that I will get a new job and am actively applying.
Annoying to see how many keep busting their ump for latrines like this, only to get nailed in the end anyway. This in spite of the fact that they have been told over and over again over the years that they are wasting their time and should go elsewhere.
And I highly recommend leaving to everybody. You'll feel like a new man/woman.
