Expect layoffs this summer . Given the amount of internal applications for jobs, I think US Bank will be laying off a lot, UnionBank and US Bank employees. Our HR teams are in over their heads , they are too junior for this size company. People have had job offers rescinded. Keep you head down and eyes and ears open. This is going to be bumpy .

To the person saying they should ask for volunteers, it would cost a lot more to make it attractive. Plus it's extra work HR don't want to do. Instead, they'll make life as miserable as possible so people leave of their own accord.
They should have asked for volunteers to take "package" as many would have bolted and HR would not be so overwhelmed.
Saying there will be layoffs is like saying the sun will come up in the morning. The layoffs never end
i am just waiting for the moolah/severance. Will run as fast as i can from here.
As a former UB employee, I only wish this was true. I even asked my new USBank manager if it was possible to get a severance package as I told him the role they gave me doesn’t fit my skills.
I got placed into a job where my skills are not used, but they ask me to do things I have no experiences in.
