Dissatisfaction with the leadership

I have worked in several companies, but it is here that I am the least satisfied with the leadership. Dell needs much better leaders who have a vision and who will be committed to the future of this company. Otherwise... I don't know what the company can achieve with these people at the top?

I remember my first Dell Town Hall where Jeff Clarke spoke. He does not exactly inspire confidence in others, if there ever was a leader that was looking out for number one only it's Jeff.

Anyone remember when Joe Tucci came out and said we were all going to take a pay cut rather than mass firings and he'd return to normal pay once out of the downturn? We came out of the downturn and he did it...he returned to normal pay without mass firings and rehurungs. That was confidence, that was classy and I trusted him ever since that moment. I would have forgone raises this year to keep folks around this August.

Hear of the new ‘less with less’ strategy? HR and Uncle Jeff have a plan. Less work! $5b to shareholders though! Business is down 25%…so stop working so hard. Ki-ler strategy really.
