Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Layoffs update

Layoffs are definitely coming, it will be ugly like last August. End of June is the date. If your department is unsettled with no directions/clear R&Rs, then you’re impacted. Hurry up and start looking for a job immediately.

there is no proof of this. Stop upsetting people with rumors. June 26 will come and go with no layoffs. Upsetting people for no reason. Hopefully people will then stop listening to the people starting false rumors of layoffs.

What’s the online HR say for SIRP? Right before cuts in April 2022 (august?) it was being edited/updated online and that was a clue.

If ur d-mb enough to wait for upper mgt to tell you about a layoff ….it’s too late…pay attention to the low level or middle level of clay’s behavior then you know what is really going on…no layoffs means layoffs…radio silence is also a clue..

A LLx let this slip in a meeting recently and was greeted by deafening silence. It is happening.

Leadership has said nothing official about layoffs or cuts. That is fact. If Doug Field, Bill Ford or Jim Farley mention this in the important town hall later this week, then I will pay attention.

There are "stealth cuts" taking place right now. Actually, these are not cuts, but relocation of jobs to Mexico and Brazil.

I wonder if they'll do voluntaries first or go right to involuntary separations? I've forgotten when we were last offered VSSPs ... maybe 2020?

Ford still has at least 5,000 too many salaried people in North America, compared to our competitors. Unfortunately, most of these are the family and friends, so good employees will be let go instead.

Published retirements and then the involuntary separations, again. Looks like an annual pattern. Good luck!
