Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Anyone Else Tired

Anyone else just sick and tired of wondering if they're going to have a job tomorrow or if they'll be laid off? I almost feel like I have my life on hold out of fear of spending money just in case I wind up being laid off.

Anyone else feel like this?

I get up every morning fire of the laptop and do an honest days work. If USB decides to let me go- it’s their lose…Brush up your resume and start poking around to see what’s out there. You might luck out and find something else that’s a great fit or could see there isn’t much out there and could make you realize it’s not too bad

US Bank has some of the worst leadership I have experienced in banking. It's dreadful! Who hired these incompetent people? I don't blame HR, they are pawns. I blame the disgraceful hiring managers! It's political when it comes to upward movement. Merit and proven performance isnt considered.

How do you make change happen? When the reviews form employees survey comes out. Be honest. Change starts with you voicing your truth. For the betterment of the company and yourself!

I think everyone is exhausted with the lack of new and innovative banking products, in my opinion the initiatives and the new payment solutions are going into very, very crowded markets completely saturated with plenty of offerings, with no distinguishing features and no accountability for revenue generation coming out from under significant costs and business asset redirection and why USB would launch non competitive offerings to their customers

Looks like a couple people from HR made their way onto the thread.

Exactly: stop being a negative and get back to work…, USB is super strong, solid and will continue to thrive…

Take matters in your own hands and find another place to work. There is a better culture and life outside of USB.

I always wondered when I walked into a US Bank location why the employees look defeated and didn't greet clients or have a sense of urgency like Union and other banks.

I now understand why and, it has to do with the original post. They don't feel valued. They are overworked and the company views them as robots then as people.

Sadly US Bank needs a makeover I leadership across the board. Most noticeably in retail markets (branches, wealth, Usbi) The truly sad part is no one in the company cares enough to make the changes needed.
