Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

RTO is a pay cut

Essentially making us all go back to the office is a pay cut. You have to spend more time out of your day driving and getting ready now which time is money. If you live in a big metroplex it could take an hour to get to the center one way! Not only your time but gas you’ll have to fill up more often. A 2.5% raise last year and this year just doesn’t cut it with the high cost of living and inflation. It’s a joke the higher ups line their pockets with record profits and we get nothing but a RTO notice.

When everyone started working from home did they cut your pay? If not - seems like it wouldn’t be a pay cut since you didn’t ask for a pay reduction when Covid hit. I also remember hearing that everyone got a 5% increase in 2021.

Not to mention productivity will plummet. Working less hours due to the commute, drive bys, water cooler chat, trying to find a bathroom that isn't being cleaned, conference room technology issues. Such a terrible move.
