Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Mutual Challenge, manager psychology

My manager judged that I'm not any good in 1:1, I judged him the same.
If I work hard and deliver whatever he ask, he will benefit out of it.
I asked him to code in the product, he is not ready to do it. I am going to quit.
He is moving forward other colleagues. Does any have similar experience before?

Lesson is to switch companies every 4 years. Bump in salary & stock. Although good luck if you are stuck on a legacy product at Cisco. No one wants outdated and useless skills.

If you feel like that then the answer is simple - leave and get another position elsewhere on more pay and with more respect.
