A 15% layoff at QCA, if laying off the right people like brown nosing loafers, back stabbers who take credits from others, can save more than 15% cost and increase efficiency. Loafers and back stabbers generally have high titles too. Unfortunately all past layoffs didn't let go of these people.

Amon is bringing folks from India and China to Tijuana for nearshore activities for 70% cheaper labor with same output. H1bs not safe, GC and Citizens safe.

Now that Qcom announced to open a new facility in Tijuana this fall (R&D and Eng), some teams in SD may be impacted. So layoff is possible by the end of the year, if not this fiscal.

at this point very unlikely layoff will happen before end of fiscal year (Sep/Oct)

Didn't ceo say no layoffs this fiscal year? He can announce it any time but as long as he doesn't execute it this year, it counts as he honors his promise?

Qualcomm can do anything or nothing, stock is not going to go up. Mark my words.
They are deeply hated by every customer. We Qcom's own employees hate our company's performance over the last 15 years.

So the source is your VP?or direct CA?

But I'm skeptical CA would announce anything. He's always done the previous layoffs quietly

Announcing layoffs will boost stock performance cause investors are looking for operating expenses to be reduced. Just look at any other company when they announce cuts.

This post is bs. Announcing a huge layoff will never make a good impression for stock performance.

What is your source on this?
This sounds so suspicious, I doubt it’s true.
