Let’s shake things up here .
Do we need a dept that just puts out branded clothing ? How about webcasts are they needed? What areas of the company would you cut?

"but get rid of caregiver paid time off"
Liberal programs are open doors to abuse. My previous employer provided daycare facilities. During an audit it was discovered a VP had been dropping her kids off every workday for 16 months...only the children didn't belong to her. The VP was actually charging the mother 50% of what the mother had previously been paying for childcare.
Not a department, but get rid of caregiver paid time off. Four people on my team use it like extra vacation days. Management looks the other way while the remainder of the team have to pick up the slack.
Move planning back to engineering. Get rid of the planning am’s, directors, and AVP.
Get rid of Stankey and Strategy team - what have they done? What value have they added?
@fql+1nBYlnia Reduce the 4 VP levels that have more levels within.
You could have not said it better! How many of these Vs and Ps do we need? I can’t keep up! VP, AVP, SVP, EVP? What do they do and how are they contributing to the team and the org in the first place? Other than reviewing the PowerPoint slides and presenting the ideas of people under them?
Get rid of all associate director positions. Roll up 75% of level 3 and 4 roles to a single level 5. Review after a year with the anticipated action being to make even deeper cuts.
The posters who mentioned reducing the extraneous levels of VP’s are spot on. There are FAR too many (grossly) overpaid, gate keeping, figureheads. 👎🏻
Agree it is time to cut non-core functions. As a rule of thumb, if your job does not enable revenue or assist in cutting costs, your job may not be needed.
Get rid of the executive comp team.
“Anyone flying in those private jets needs to be shown the door.”
How else are we supposed to get to pebble beach then? Greyhound!?!? You tell me??
Stankee
Rotten ba----ds all of them!
T is that little ocean gate sub on its last dive. The hull is creaking and cracking. Carbon fiber hull failure is imminent. Captained by a self professed arrogant genius.
Anyone flying in those private jets needs to be shown the door.
Anyone whose only job is internal communications. They were made obsolete by email 40 years ago. I am so tired of useless cheerleader newsletters that add no value whatsoever.
Get rid of John Stankey. 20 megadollars in savings in the bat of an eye. Then all the lackeys that fed his ego. Probably another 10 megadollars right there.
It's easy, stop the people who pester other people for stuff. Get rid of them or give them real work to do if they are able. If we just could do our jobs without 72 initiatives and info gathering exercises dragging everyone down every week, we'd spend half as much doing them.
But they're told this on every survey, and it just results in more of the same. As in you, the people who can't really change anything, tell us how you will respond to the survey. They're like the teacher that doesn't know the answer so gives you homework for daring to ask the question.
OP makes an excellent point. We really do a lot that is not needed. The branded shop team is great example. Also TU why couldn't that be eliminated or contracted out. And the team that produces all the town halls and webcasts...why cannot we just use zoom and call it a day. The priorities are a mess.
Remove all associate director and directors. We already have senior directors, why need 200 other directors?
We lost a VP and nothing has changed besides perhaps less emails and town halls because the position wasn't backfilled.
Reduce the 4 VP levels that have more levels within.
