Backstabbers always hold on to their jobs

It's almost as if Ford is rewarding this behavior.

The place is infected by a friends and family club. They will all backstab everybody that’s not in the club to survive and keep their power and prevent anybody that knows what they’re doing from take over one of their jobs. Until that whole bunch is gotten rid of and their grip on not promoting anyone that is not friends or family company has no chance.

My supervisor is such a lap dog. He’s always circling around our new DEI manager. Telling him everything and every move, using my work and slides for a presentation with even telling me. It’s so sickening.

Other companies have substantial Quality Organizations. Boeing's 777X was designed with a large, talented Forward Model Quality and CAE departments. Hardly any prototype work was necessary, they sold the first jet manufactured.

Other than tracking and meeting, what else can Ford Quality Office do?

Do you have a forecast model for TGW or R/1000? If not, how can you tell an apple or a lemon?

If you do detect a lemon, what can you do? Stop the train and get run over?

If there is nothing you can do to identify and/or resolve quality issues, why does management expect Quality Office be a solution for quality/warranty problems?

I was in a Quality group that had poor leadership. The goal was to play it safe, take a retrospective look at the past, figure out what the customers were complaining about and track efforts to fix problems. No effort was made to assist with current or forward model issues other than simple tracking.

The really talented people left Ford quality over the past couple of decades. Their efforts were no longer encouraged or even recognized.

I was thrown under the bus by our technical leader. Blamed me for an issue that he caused. Nicest guy on the outside but turn your back and ……didn’t know until after I was force retired
