Why software? Let others develop. Intel has been messing around with software under various names software and services, software technology, software labs and so on. They are never whole-hearted and concerted. These don't add any value. It is such a pathetic situation that Intel drained the money in acquisitions (remember McAfee, Windriver for example?) and sold them for loss. Intel simply squandered and laid off people afterwards. It is sad that people have been subjected to this mess.

Unless it's in manufacturing, I'd think it would be best to exhaust all other possibilities before joining Intel in the US. They are actively moving jobs to China and India to reduce costs.

SATG /OCTO under Greg Lavender, INTEL CTO, will only layoff US based employees.

When experienced people get too expensive, replace them with lower cost inexperienced people.

It’s the Intel way and it never ends well.

Will management ever learn?

They will replace experienced workers with new ones. I bet next major shake up end of year. Upper management doesn't understand need for techs.

I’d say there wasn’t enough internal interest in transferring to NM when it was offered.

A lot of BUs only lay off US employees this year.

Intel has too many useless managers now, they still want to keep their teams' headcounts after layoffs, what they could do?
