Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Dow vs Vz

The Dow closes at its highest level in 2023.
Verizon closes at its lowest level since 2010.
What the heck has happened to this once great company?

Going mainly indirect/vendor based in addition to outsourcing ruined this company.

Verizon was a 100% US based company that took care of its employees and in turn the employees took care of the customers. Once Hanz came in and started sending jobs overseas it all started to fall apart.

Years and years of bad management. Plain clueless, remember when Lowell used to mock T-Mobile. What's the saying, pride comes before the fall. Here comes the fall.

It is the liberal media attacking the corporation and the lead cable sheathing concerns.

You’re making a much bigger deal about the lead sheathing, than it really is. There is not much lead still up in the air.

Today [7/17/2023]: The Dow Jones industrial average, which is the Dow, would have been higher if it was not for the VZ debacle?

VZ will be removed from the Dow next month!!!

VZ $10/share price after earnings next week.

The stock is down 37.85% since HV took over. If that is not a sign of failure, what is?

The lead cable sheathing issue is the current driver of the stock plunge. ATT is seeing a similar plunge.
