I spoke to a director in Collab; they confirmed 400 people impact, mostly in China. Webex will shut down site in China in the next few layoff cycles. This layoff ended the entire Product management in China. Current webex engineering in China is on borrowed time. although most of the best engineering teams are in China. amazing people. sad
No, I think Collab China engineering is impacted the most this time (over 400 people) .
ACI engineering took a hit. Many US-based directors gone. DC is a growth market (ask Arista) yet Cisco is cutting knowledge loose.
Just wonder how many Cisco employees got impacted this time (July 17, 2023) ?
ACI hasn't been impacted. At least not yet
So all of these BUs are impacted but collab is somehow spared? The same collab that, according to 20-22 (likely 23) financials, is seeing negative y/y growth?
