Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

8-10% Globally Week 2

It’s definitely happening. I am RSM in EMEA. Q3 Week 2 is the plan. 8-10 percent total. Every area being hit incl Corp, pub and Ent. More likely your direct manager is not aware of names yet. VP and sen Dir are across. Meets will be scd during Week One for wk2. there is no way to guess if you impacted. It’s global too. No area spared this time. Apex loses peeps too.

Yes it has started, it's going to be big. We have a team of eight, expecting to lose one person

I can confirm the same 8-10% Globally from the AMER region. The only extra bit of detail I have to add is 40% of Premeir - this means PAM teams and other Premier support teams throughout Premier.

The company is saved.
Someone said the next round wont be as big so no need to worry if nothing is selling its all good now.
This person has all the answers.
I will let senior management know its all good from here on in.

I believe this. Sales are way down and showing no signs of recovering. Meta did 2 rounds of heavy cuts also.

People white knighting a multi-billion dollar corporation and calling others ex dell like it is an insult is probably the most capitalist thing I have seen today. The multi-billion dollar corporation will never love you. You are a number on a spreadsheet. Millennials and Gen Z got it right. Allegiance and loyalty are seldom rewarded.

catagorically false. No company follows up with a bigger layoff than the one previous to it.
IT JUST DOES NOT HAPPEN unless you are suggesting the company is going out of business.

You both need to take a reading comprehension class... the meeting with HR and the leader are setup one week in advance, and the employee will get a separate invite the day before.

The leader and HR have it scheduled a week in advance. Separate invite for employee happens day before.

They never schedule a layoff meeting a week in advance, it's at most 1-2 days
