Can't be Pappas. They are referring to the end of the Pepsi era. He's still here.

Pepsi = Pappas? If so, what about all of his fake industry awards that the Company paid for? Does he reimburse them? 🤣

Can you explain Pepsi Era?

Are we talking Marty? Or an allusion to the former coca-cola Marketing lady, or Kandarian?

I’ve been here 8 years. In that time my base pay has more than doubled and my AVIP has increased three fold. My job is interesting and I genuinely like the people I work with. MetLife is a great place to work for me. Everyone has individualistic needs and preferences so I understand that this won’t be true for all but I’ve been very happy here for overall.

Yes, lay-offs are happening. It’s so sudden that you won’t get time to think. Already they have identified the targets. New joiners or working since years, no one is spared. Perform or perish.

I will say it again. The third and fourth quarters expect big cuts.

@3xbk+1nL2XoBQ what changed in part is the end of the "Pepsi era'. If you know what I mean, you know WHO I mean. That change was supposed to happen in October but that's been enacted sooner. Very aggressive re-org is happening and the funding numbers aren't supporting the vision. Some have already left on their own, a few have been 'asked' to leave, if you get my drift. If you're in IT and you don't have a technical skillset, it's going to be very hard for you. That is just fact.

Layoffs have always been part of the plan since CEO arrived 4 years ago. Streamline, reduce excess, etc. however what they couldn’t plan for was the plandemic. Company knows mortality is expected to increase (ergo reinsurance of life portfolio) due to the Covid vaccine.

To ELT and SLT: No brainer here, get rid of the $hitty people managers we keep complaining to YOU about.

I believe you, @2wkp+1nL2XoBQ.

We were scooting along under the 12.4% expense ratio or whatever it was just fine. Now, credible rumors of cuts. The question is, what changed?

Or is there something else to worry about, like the commercial real estate that they said is not a problem?

This was bought and paid for just like the best intranet site and the number 5 cybersecure company. The budget shortfalls have been announced. Headcount reduction is on the table. Offshoring is the big push now and even they are cutting headcount because they overhired.
