Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Mission: Warehouse

Already going to predict it…warehouse first of the year. All of this nonsense about riding it out or maybe just a couple more years…y’all are delusional if you think this is going to last. SRs saying they have so much to do and are no where to be found in stores. They stay at home and totally rely on merchandisers to do everything at store level. No communication, no sense of teamwork or urgency about anything. If you are too busy “selling” what are you selling in? The PRD that’s been binned in for over a month? Lol Merchandisers all the time calling out, not rotating anything at all, just packing. Plugging any hole they can find (on the shelf ;-P). RMS is literally helpless…either is always in “meetings” or spending another 6 hours making a daily schedule. I’ve seen our RMS work an order and it’s literally sad…just sad. If they graded him on his CPH it will be around 5 an hour. It’s like they haven’t been in a store in so long they don’t even know where anything goes. The DM and upper management are always just supeerrrrr excited for the next changes that Misson 1 brings!! Are you excited too?!?! Listen folks, the orders are already being locked and you can’t adjust those precious orders down anymore. All retailers will be following that pattern very soon and honestly I’m surprised it hasn’t happened sooner. Upper management knows the plan and are ensuring that all the key decision makers/buyers have a clear vision of what Mondelez can really offer them…lower cost. How can they do that? Simple…without you. They don’t need SRs or merchandisers anymore. How are we going to sell something when the retail is getting it themselves and putting it up? Lol I’ve read these posts on here going back and forth doing the blame game…it’s just what corporate wants in the end because with our horrible service that we have been giving this year alone…retailers will be more than willing to be rid of us. No more credits piled up, orders being worked on weekends, drivers showing up at 2 or 3 in the afternoon, etc. it’s over folks, get out while you can because you won’t be one of the ones that gets to hang around afterwards…those seats have already been taken ;-)

Warehouse isn’t happening, it’s going to be DSD where the store packs it out & we send people in to just do displays once a week

I’m in NYC area this is essentially what Goya and some of those 3rd party specialty wharehouse/distributors

It’s cheaper at this point to store/deliver yourself because you still remain in control a bit of what’s going into stores especially with distributions of new & limited edition items

How many other companies you see slamming 50+ cases at once of a new item into stores

All orders will be AI/store generated with “distributions” for sale items

Kellogg's stock price was around $82 after they announced the split in August 2016. Now it's around $68

MDLZ was around $44 in August 2016 and now it's around $75.

So how has the move benefited their stock price?

^^Disclaimer this is not investing advice I don't actively own shares in either company^^

Kellogg's was smart to get rid of the "ELF". Spun off the dead cookie business to another candy company, kept the " SNACKs". Just look at Kellogg's stock price. Warehouse( it works ) is on the way.

Don't get me wrong I believe Mission One is a disaster. I believe reps will going to get cut as time goes by.

However, the "going warehouse" plan isn't as simple as it may seem. There is a massive cost to having items carried in a warehouse, it's in the tens of thousands per item, per chain. And I'm not even referring to what Walmart could charge for that. End of the day as expensive as DSD is to a company that is always looking to save a penny going warehouse might not save them any money and despite the massive dysfunction that is Mission One they are still making money. Also, how did going warehouse work out for the Elf???

GS would sell you a bridge and you sound just d-mb enough to buy it! He will tell you what you need to hear. Told reps al jobs were safe only to let go 1/3 of them a month later! He’s got one thing on his mind…himself!

GS said we're committed to DSD and mission 1.
Sounds like false statements on your part.
We'll be here for years to come.
One team one dream!!!
