Say no to RTO

I work just as hard from my office at home - if not harder - as I do in an office and I collaborate just fine online. Forcing me to RTO will only serve to ki-l my productivity and my morale. Why is that so hard to understand for those mo--ns who call themselves our leadership?

There are a lot of folks that are ki-ling it while WFH. It's the other group that don't do sh-t all day that is ruining it for everyone. I'm eager to see the do nothings in the office and actually see if they do anything at all. The elite bunch of WFH folks that do 80% of a teams work should be left alone IMHO.

@1itr+1nNBBFkD hate to burst your bubble but that won't change with RTO, at least not on my team. Director has already approved enough leeway to continue doing these things like coming in late and leaving early for those tasks. This will boil down to less productivity than just staying home.

Truth is some people were hardly ever online or available. Like we hired a scrum master to take the morning calls and he can't because he has to drop his kids off at School. Idk about you but your kids can take the bus. Pretty much that morning call is his main purpose and he can't even do that... But there are actually people who are a lot more efficient working from home no doubt about it.

@ekq+1nNBBFkD -
If too many high performers left the company in the next couple of months, they may reverse. I mean they reversed in the past.

Or when layoffs are done and the smoke clears, they could reverse or allow more exceptions in January.

You have reason to be upset, but worrying about this now feels futile.

Its happening. Train has left the station. There won't be a reversal. Leadership has moved on to re-organizing and laying people off.

Forcing me (and others like me) to RTO means forcing our clients to experience lesser qualified service from mo--ns who have no self-respect to take their talents elsewhere.

@tvp+1nNBBFkD No, it’s not. You need to stop learning everything from Reddit.

While you and others may excel at working from home, a lot of people don’t. Some reps have told IAs on recorded lines to “hold on I have to move my laundry.” Others have admitted they do “their quota for stats” and then start playing games on their personal computer the rest of the time. Others haven’t made arrangements for care of their small children, so they spend the majority of the day caring for their kids instead of working. It’s people like that who ruined working remote.

Commercial Real Estate Market > our productivity

This is about propping up our largest institutional investor's commercial real estate portfolio's. Has zero to do with culture or productivity.
