You should have a file in your packet "UHG Severance Pay Plan SPD_062018.pdf" (or something similar) that has the table (years/level).
Open the severance package to see the formula. It depends on years of service and pay grade. I got laid off too.
I think the person posting "CMS final notice on the ICD10" as reason for this layoff is company planted insider - seems like at least a spoks person.
I am so sorry to those impacted. I'm on too. Severance amounts should be in the packet emailed to you. This is totally around and caused by cost and financial headwinds brought on by the CMS final notice on the ICD10 codes that were changed. The enterprise had to make business decisions to align G&A costs to lower forecasted revenue due to the administration's changes to reimbursement codes. What stinks for me is my area had to develop the business case for the Optum part of this, and I'm RIF'ed too.. It stinks so many have to be let go due to this.
Severance is NOT a week for every year. It depends on your grade and how many years you worked there. The max is 26 weeks but you have to be there for more than 20 years to get that. Most start at 10 weeks.....search for it the website.
I got laid off today. I worked on the UMR development team.
They su-k.
Geeze Louise. UHG. IS. RUTHLESS.
Restaurants and hospitality had better severance.
It used to be posted, not sure it still is but it was something like 1-5 years of employment = 3 weeks pay. 6-10 was 6 weeks of leave. Not sure if it’s based on pay grade. Could have changed though.PS a friend was laid off in the spring and it took 6 weeks for her severance check to come in
I think it’s a week for every year of service up to 26 weeks max?
Me too from C&S....shocking. What is the severance formula?
