Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Who can feel safe here?

It's been a long time since I've been able to feel relaxed and focused on my work here, because I've seen great employees lose their jobs easily.

However, judging by the behavior of some of my colleagues, there are also many who feel safe, probably thinking that their job is safer because they put in maximum effort.

For the "My coworker has a side hustle being a social media influencer while she’s supposed to be working." You must be speaking of the self important K.S. who slept her way to cushy vp position on the PAO team. No matter how a-s she kisses of the higher ups no one and mean no one is taking her serious as an influencer or a book author. As soon as Tim and team are done she along with the whole group will be gone. Just like the agile studio her boss I am affair partner used to run.

Does anyone have job security anywhere except for union jobs? The days of being loyal to a company and they will look out for you are long gone. You need to be selfish and lookout for yourself. The only reason you have a job is because you make the company money. As soon as they can find someone to do it cheaper you are gone. Why USB went to 80% offshore for tech jobs.

Don’t you realize by now, it’s who you know and not what you know?

US Bank doesn't value strong performance or work ethic. They don't promote from within. Read the other posts about high performance that they laid off.

As long as Greedy Andy/McKinsey and Company are running US Bank, the environment of will never change. Cecere is a reptile who only knows layoffs. The fact that a real CEO, Richard Davis usually got 2 or 3 million per year and the incompetent vulture, Andrew “Greedy Andy” Cecere takes home close to 20 million yearly to slowly destroy the reputation of US Bank makes it very clear what a corrupt and unethical bank US Bancorp really is.

U.S. Bank leadership is laughable when compared to the leadership and talent running JPMorgan, Citi, Truist, PNC and Regions, most would have no banking career other than being a box checker to fill a slot to comply with some nebulous banking regulation.

Totally agree, men don’t belong in the ladies bathroom! If they continue to do that, I’m working from home full time.

I will.never feel safe as long as Andy allows men in the women's bathroom. Why would he allow that?

The first moment management believes that your job can be outsourced or cut, you will be gone. Management does not care for a moment how hard you work. Long-term employees are more in danger than newer ones.

My team is toxic yet pushes an agenda that we all MUST be friends. I’m sorry but you asking me to do YOUR work doesn’t equate to “friendship”. Wolves 🐺 in sheep’s 🐑 clothing, I along with others, are onto your game. I’m not drinking the spiked Kool Aid.

I know exactly what you mean. It's almost like the good employees are pushed out so the terrible ones can reign with no opposition. I'm slowly learning the entire bank is as toxic as the departments I have worked in.
