Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Why does Trader deserve to be a independent unit, and fold into IS's leadership

The announcement in March seems giving Trader its own identity, but even before it becomes official in Sept, it is now under IS.
Trader is unique business, not sure that is right direction we are taking now

BTW: Somebody asked who on EC should go. To me, at least he/she should show confidence in the company and wants to make company better
If you search SCHW insider trading activity, which is public record, one of EC member seems always cash out his option at good price and not hold any (or very little) SCHW shares in hand. understood it is just personal financial decision, but not sure that shows confidence in the company. Walt and some other EC/board members at least bought some when SCHW hit low point

Wouldn’t be surprised if AT/National Branch/UHNW branch all roll up into the same leadership as retail branches for the sake of eliminating role redundancies. If it was done with TDA FCs/branches (that also had completely different systems, priorities, comp plans, etc) it could absolutely be done with other branch iterations.
