Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Really???

Force employees back to empty buildings but announce layoffs? Who is running this show? Unnecessary to cut people before cutting other costs. What do I know? 25 plus years at the company. That what I know.

They already ended leases on office buildings about 2 years ago.

For whatever consolation it may be, you're not alone in your observations and assessments.

The clowns that took over the "circus" I worked for invested tens-of-millions renovating dilapidated buildings. Most sat vacant for years before they were eventually razed, never generating as much as a cent of revenue.

When financial reality set in, the first cost-saving measure was culling the workforce. The investors liked that but there were not enough workers. Then they liquidated assets. Then the whole operation vanished.

The running joke among the shops before we got let go was that the new corporate slogan should've been, "If you think the problems we create are bad, wait until you see our solutions."

Hang strong, everyone. There are a lot of people coast-to-coast willing to help you, your families, & communities transition through these difficult times.

I recommend that you flush a handful of quick set concrete down the drains of the office.

And we'll have to pay for parking on top of gas and our time sitting in traffic. They will make sure our card is scanned at least 3 times per week to keep your job

I also like how they cut travel to save on that expense but make us all incur more expense by driving into that empty build 3 days a week starting in September! They cut their own cost but don't care about ours!
