Thread regarding Ford layoffs

How does above target, meets target, below target even work?

I have no idea how performance even works here.

I keep asking every meeting how I am doing and have never gotten any negative feedback but I am still quite anxious all the time.

There is no documentation on any goals, objectives; seems like people just make up stuff and keep appearances.

Has anyone ever been PIPed here before?

Here is a clue.. it doesn’t matter unless your management really likes you or hates you. If they like you you will get a TA (brown nosers) if they hate you they will use the process to do something negative to you up to trying to get you dismissed…

Yes it's a popularity contest. The southern based CV LL3 is a perfect example. If you drink cr-p beer and eat garbage fastfood with him, or are an attractive young female then you're safe. If not, get ready to get SIRP'd.

The trick is to get buddy buddy with the LL6s and LL5s and hang out with them when they go out for drinks after work.
Also, work late. It doesn’t matter what time you come in but you have to be there and be seen working late. Also, you have to be an extrovert. Introverts will always get passed over.
OR
You can get the he-l out of there and go work for a sane company.

I always laugh when my LLs tell jokes

I agree with whatever they say

I basically parrot back to them whatever their idea was so that it sounds like we are in complete agreement

I am always chosen for teams and over the years have developed a little circle of LLs that I latch on to.

I don't get a lot of free thought or value out of my work, but I feel completely safe.

ratings dont mean anything anymore. I know people that were always "at target" or "Above target" there whole career and still got laid off.

Above target = Friends and Family
At target = Not F&F but liked
Below target = Next up on the SIRP list

I was PEPed, ended up in EEOC.

My lawyer advised me, just don't participate in performance review.

If you work for Stellantis, you can just delete the PIP in your HR system, for real.
