Going out on a limb and guessing that not all positions have been identified yet. It may not be too late to add pronouns to your Teams profile to indicate that you are on board with diversity initiatives and maybe give yourself a slightly better chance of not being eliminated.
Also, hopefully, if you are a white male you did not include your race and gender in your profile when you were hired. I do not believe that is something that can be edited once you’ve provided the information. Most white males instinctively know to choose the “Not Specified” option; but shockingly, most still opt in with providing that detail.
Within this organization, there are very real diversity initiatives and quotas for each SVP / Business Unit. Unfortunately, a mass layoff is an easy way for some of those leaders to hit those targets with little effort. Nothing more than looking at select outputs from data queries: salary, job level, tenure, pronouns, gender, race, etc. and letting that help guide decisions.
