I know this has been on this page before, but home office either needs to get rid of books or at least some of the kids school type books. Get rid of the 3rd party people who never stock them or just stock 6 boxes out of the 6 pallets we have. We don’t have room for all the skus they give us . Merchandisers are trying to stock them, then the 3 rd party girl comes in ( getting paid to stock them) and says .. cool , you guys already did it, takes a picture and she is on her way .

We haven't seen our 3rd party vender since they took over from the other company that hardly came in. We are doing our own stocking of books and gift cards. Stupid higher ups thinking they are saving money with a 3rd party outfit when they are costing us more.
100% books need to go. They don’t sell. Most of them don’t even get stocked because no one to do it. And then they go on RTV. Ridiculous.
What percentage of books received would you say actually sell? 10%? 15%? It would seem that the money it costs to have someone package them, the cost to have a carrier deliver them, cost to pay associates to receive them, cost to pay WHOMEVER to stock them, pull RTVs and then eventually send 90% of them back would all be waaaaaaay too much compared to any semblance of profit that could possibly be made.
