Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

QCA makes innovative products which don't sell

The latest products from QCA are pretty innovative and useful.
Like the WCN785X flagship connectivity for phones, the audio products supporting wireless uncompressed audio and even some of the router products.
These take a lot of effort but unfortunately customer base is all low volumes even though the customers are all megacaps outside of Apple.
Consumer electronics demand will be weak as long as China demand is muted unfortunately.

@1jhi "Majority of lay-offs will happen in overseas offices". I didn't quite get this. Do you mean the Bay area office will have minor layoffs? Majority happen in Asia? Isn't that the reverse of moving things to lower cost area?

Projects that aren’t making money are on the chopping block, along with the teams supporting them.

What are you on dude? May be you are on the same sh$t, the management is smoking...I mean how much id--t do you have to be to not understand that business works on demand and supply. IF you are supplying a product that the market demands it will be successful. If QCA is delivering innovative product that market demands it will not have any issues supplying them

You are a fool who believed this non-sense story. If they are innovative products they do sell. Since they don't sell, they are not innovative! Another solution looking for a problem
