The IRONY of being on a site dedicated to layoff information and seeing anti union comments is ... painful. Not just in this post but others as well.
People, we are on TheLayoff.com, LAYOFF.com, and people are down voting union advocacy. Unions, which are built to protect worker rights and put worker interests first. Like, for example, having legally binding contracts that mitigate impacts and push back on Corporations when layoffs do eventually happen.
My bad though. I must have missed the memo that stated Corporations (and Schwab) prioritize worker interests over their own and over their stakeholders.
I despise unions all my life .. but some of the BS going on at SCHW.. has led me to consider one .. be nice to see one come in and pitch benefit to us in the trenches being told to sacrifice for the company

I'd rather sip on a drink from Cardi B while relaxing in a bathtub filled with ice while she's circling my right kidney with a Sharpie than join a union.
If you are serious about forming a union, a good starting place for help is the National Labor Council.

whoever posted this and the comment about starting one, needs to do some further research, a union isn't going to solve your problem, you'll just be paying dues. careful what you wish for. a union isn't what you think it is.
So how do we effectively start a union ? I am positive people would join. Is there a way to direct people to sign up anonymously somewhere without fear of reprisal from Schwab? And then once we have enough people who join we can officially initiate the union at Schwab? Because I’m sure that is what is holding people back. We have power as a group. Let’s do this!!
