Does any ex Dell or anyone laid off by Dell have experience with the outplacement assistance they provide? Is it just some bs they feed us or is it something that can actually land you another job?

It su-ked. Took weeks to even “get access” and then took weeks longer to get any help. Zero people reached out to me ever proactively. Finally got my resume feedback after getting a job offer from someone else.
Best advice I got was to work your network, find someone you trust to review your resume as soon as you can, and just start getting your name out there.
They are good but not great...you should do it though...it is nice to speak to someone
Laid off oct 2020...
Same experience as the above response. They will reach out multiple times and offer assistance for resume and job placement. Its a "nice to have", but I had more luck finding interviews on my own.
Thankfully, I didn’t end up needing it, but they were very proactive and reached out to me several times making sure I didn’t need help. My advice would be to hit LinkedIn and leverage your network to find new job opportunities. Partners are also very willing to scoop up talent that was let go. It su-ks, but this too shall pass. Good luck on your search!
