Dell is promoting the new Partner First program on LinkedIn the same day as layoffs. Seems cold. One plus is that all those channel partners are now potential employers and will probably pay better.

While potentially cold, it also signals to the partners to HIRE, which could be great for those affected.

Agree with the above. I got laid off in February and partners were very eager to hire me. Took a pay cut, but it’s better than being unemployed!

I don't know about the "pay better" part - but the sales manager in my area has 3 AE openings and is waiting for this layoff to play out so he can pick and choose. It's bad for Dell folks, but good for us on the partner side. Humans su-k.
