States that my position has been transferred to Chicago -- I live in Cedar Hill, Tx.
My plan is to rent a room with a few other people and RTO and look out the window.
I'm retirement eligible in 3 yrs. Good luck with getting any work out of us.

Whaaa here comes HR. Funny story, some HR folks come to visit a Central office and they can't find their way out of the basement.
wow that is a-s backwards making someone from Texas move to chicago when corporate headquarters are in Dallas. WTF - only att can come up with this nonsense.
"Be careful guys. HR spies are here. They are probably the ones who kept on posting pro RTO messages."
As the song says: Paranoia strikes deep. Into your life it will creep. It starts when you're always afraid. Step out of line the man come and take you away.
Don't let that arrogant cretin Stankey into your head. He has much less power than you or he thinks. Truth be told, he has a much shorter shelf life than most of us have. Everything he touches fails.

Who says? COBC my bu-t. You can't reveal your own work situation? That's crazy talk. Even if it were in the COBC (and I don't believe it is), attempting to enforce it would be an employment lawyer's dream. I do not understand why people post this cr-p. Stockholm syndrome?
the 9 hubs are for future hiring they won't close every office on every state they have a footprint and everything depends on the org
And don't sign a lease any where cuz they ain't done messing with everyone yet.
Currently in customer care, was told either hub cities or where we have care centers in the US; but only if they decide a valid business reason…
Really? Since when is chicago one of the 9 hubs?
Arlington Heights was added for ACE as “ok place to work”. They’re allowing it for individual contributors under the terms “special skills”.
Most of the jobs can be done by others but some good people get saved and some bad people get saved.
I would never relo to a non-hub. Or a hub. Or at all.
But least of all - not to a non-hub.
“ Some organizations are using the 9 hubs, others are calling areas with a concentration of employees a “valid location.” In our org, Michigan and Chicago are ok.”
You are a fool.

I think that violates several labor laws. Need to look at your local state laws and probably federal laws too. Makes for an interesting lawsuit as well.
Which group are you in. Hadn’t hear that Chicago was going to be a hub.
Gotta cure this cancer in the company and make AT&T a better place.
"What do you receive in 3 years that you can’t have now besides some minimal product discounts? "
Likely a huge pension bump.

This is made up.
Chicago is now an approved sub core site for supply chain and some other internal support groups. But if OP was in supply chain, and now in TX, wouldn't be relo to Chicago.
Chicago? I hope you make it alive,
Make sure T did not get a life insurance on you..
I call shenanigans on OP -that's not how this will go down for someone based in Tx. If OP had bettered his troll and said he get notified he was assigned to the Atlanta hub, then that might have been believable to some and caused the consternation OP was looking to achieve with his c*@p-post
Not really a credible post as Chicago is not a hub city. Not even one of the 9.
