New MD thinks he has his fingers on the pulse of his team members. Reality is he lost it last Thursday. What else would you expect from an ex NY banker who pretends to support flexibility. No one below sr mgrs has the courage to share their RTO concerns with him as there is a lack of trust on his leadership. Dare to speak up and you will get fired!

Mitch Mantua, Chief Audit Executive
Who is "Mitch"?
It’s just weird, because even the people who don’t quit and who aren’t laid off, will now know this is a cr-ppy place to work. It’s just a shame. His forceful tone in the Town Hall was so off putting. I used to love this company.
Walt said in the Omaha town hall that "EC will not be rolling back the RTO mandate because of anonymous people posting on social media"
Mitch doesn’t even have a pulse
EC member defends RTO in the newsletter:
- RTO not linked to expense discipline
- RTO linked to development of future leaders
- Aspiring leaders need to be in office at least 3 days
- Blah blah blah
Has anyone read Mitch’s rant about aspiring leaders and free snacks in the newsletter? What a pathetic way to convince ppl…
I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling this way. Thank god for this forum…
“…and that he used to commute 1.5 hours.” Yeah and I used to work 60 hour weeks in the freezing cold getting frostbite. Does he drive 1.5 hours every day right now? No. He does not. Pointlessly referencing how hard you had it in the past is not a reasonable explanation for utterly asinine policy. We all used to work with actual physical files when referencing policy, would it be at all reasonable to go back to doing that instead of an electronic repository because EC boomers decided they liked it more? No. It would be exceedingly stupid. Just like pointlessly angering a previously loyal and energized workforce by shoving them back into cramped cubicles despite record profits and productivity.
It is baffling in the extreme how out of touch this decision was. It only serves to reinforce the depiction of modern corporate leadership as borderline sociopathic, either totally oblivious or actively dismissive to anything outside of their own self-indulgent life.
He is not happy with the outage on social media and specially mentioned Reddit in team meetings. Keep the pressure on - free speech is your right.
@djq+1nfisCSB did GP say don't post on Reddit???
Now he doesn’t want anyone to post on Reddit! Prefers that our dissent stays within the family!!!
Looks like this douche bag has been at the company not even a year, he doesn’t get an opinion. Who gives a fu-k about his opinion and the fact that he comes from Staten Island says all I need to now
If you’re foolish enough to take on 1.5 hour commutes that’s on you
Gary sounds like the opposite energy you want in an organization. That is if the goal is to build an actual team.
Lol you talking about Gary Pollack? He essentially told us that we had to suck it up and go back to the office or else find a new job. And that he used to commute 1.5 hours from Staten Island to Manhattan so he has no sympathy for anyone's situations.
I agree - name and shame
Please name the MD. So many deadbeat leaders, you need to be specific
