Imagine being the CEO of a company, whose 30,000 employees loved your flexible workplace program, and taking it away so most of the 30,000 employees were left angry. Why would anyone do that?

This is about headcount. He doesn’t give two f000cks about how his 30k employees feel. He’s about to cash out. He ruined this firm

100% agree. I genuinely want to understand the thought process and only wish I had even 20 minutes to break down the reasons why the way this is executed is a mess.

Rather than admitting you made a horrible mistake by buying long term low interest bonds and then having to borrow 2.5 Billion at 5 percent. You realize that you need to cut your workforce to decrease expenses. However, instead of getting bad press again and layoffs forcing you to pay severances you come up with the RTO plan to get people to quit on their own. Win win
