Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Efforts deserve recognition

I'm just disappointed with CS. I wonder if others can somehow evaluate how satisfied they are with the way their efforts were recognized and rewarded here?
I wasn't completely satisfied at some other places where I worked, but I feel that here my efforts were the least rewarded.

I've always felt very, very valued. I've done good work and each time it has been appropriately recognized. My team performs above and beyond metrics, and what's more we have fun doing it. Like another poster has said, this is extremely uncharacteristic and sad to see. In the years I've worked here I have genuinely come to view it as being quite different from other corporations, in that I felt a great sense of belonging with appropriate compensation for my efforts.

Just keep telling yourselves how valued you are as you sit in traffic. Look on the bright side, they will compensate us for the extra commute costs. Life is great

You are valued at CS. Just keep rowing to the drumbeat, come to the office and appear happy, all will be well and you will be absolutely recognized as a loyal employee. And please make sure you don’t highlight that Dennis Howard does not lead by example. Just sing his praise and thank him for bringing over the Visa re ta-d mafia.

I’ve always felt very valued and appropriately awarded. They don’t pay top of market but they don’t expect top of market hours either. The RTO thing feels very out of character. I’m not against RTO per se, and it’s clear that if there isn’t some level of mandate then people just won’t go in, that being said, the handling of it feels very weird. It’s very unsettling because it just doesn’t ‘feel’ right based on my experience at CS. It’s like if my dog bit me out of nowhere…..it’s more confusing than anything else.
