Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

BNYM is nothing more than a government entity

I got laid off after a decade of service. Many extra hours.

There were never any folks at BNYM who sought to get the company paid for the risk we were taking on. I kept calculating it for them but the salespeople always win.

Beyond that the Corporate Treasury department lost us billions on multiple occasions. I suppose that is systemic.

But don't complain. BNYM takes care of their employees. Gives good benefits.

Imagine me. I might have to work for th4 post office.

BNYM is definitively not a Government entity. It’s a private sector publicly held bank. You could read and learn about a bit of what that means in your RSU paperwork. If you’re a 2 year University of Phoenix grad then it’s probably just easier to move along and not trouble with these big words and concepts.
